=NOSIG=Ask Posted June 24 Posted June 24 I want it to trigger a "destroyed" message on any building damaged (also tried killed). I can't seem to get the "Factory destroyed!" message or the check zone subtitle to appear. I also uploaded the mission files. Something's off. Can anyone see the problem? tests.zip

No_85_Gramps Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Quick question, single player, coop, or multiplayer mission? Although I can open them in the editor, they do not show up in game. I'll try a couple of other things and get back with you.
No_85_Gramps Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Ok, for the demo simple, the check zone is set to detect axis planes. However, there is no axis plane to fly. I added a FW190, to air start at 2000 meters and also made it a single player mission. Ran the mission and flew to the check zone and the subtitle did appear. For the test/demo mission the check zone is again set to detect axis planes. The plane you have in the mission is a P-39 set as being United States. Check zone will not fire. Again, changed the plane to a FW190, at 2000 meters, single player mission. Ran the mission, flew to the target, check zone detected axis plane and subtitle was displayed. Shot up one of the factories and subtitle displayed and the icons changed. Note, the trigger counter is set to 1 and will only fire the first time a factory is destroyed. Subsequent factories destroyed will not fire the trigger counter, unless in the trigger counter properties you check the reset box.
=NOSIG=Ask Posted June 26 Author Posted June 26 (edited) Hi and thanks for testing. If you unzip it and edit you see that there is planes to use. It's also death match. They should be directly runnable. The Demo.mission: Simple mission: Edited June 26 by =NOSIG=Ask

No_85_Gramps Posted June 26 Posted June 26 It's been a while since I used the editor, not sure how I missed the planes.
=NOSIG=Ask Posted June 27 Author Posted June 27 No worries... I'm confused because if I run it in my game locally the subs and the factory texts appear. If I run on the windows dserver machine I don't. I don't see the mission name and the description either in the map view. I've also downloaded the game from scratch again. I'm really scratching my head here... Seems related to the ports I'm using. I'm not using 28100 and 28000 but 28101 and 28001. If I revert to the standard ports it works just fine... problem is that I already have another server there....
No_85_Gramps Posted June 27 Posted June 27 (edited) I'm not sure how things work on a dserver as I have never used one. One trick used to be to delete the ctreecache and mtreecache files from the data folder, when you relaunch the game those get re-built and most times will pick up the mission files that were missing. I have no idea how to do something similar on a dserver. I'm assuming the mission files are saved on the dserver ? I hope someone else, with more dserver experience, may offer advice. I'm getting out of my comfort zone and do not want to lead you astray. Maybe try posting a new thread specifically asking for dserver help? Might be worth a try. Oops, just noticed you already did that! Edited June 27 by No_85_Gramps 1
