Berto72 Posted June 23 Posted June 23 (edited) Hello everyone. I have been using flightsims for a long time and now i use IL2 with some friends, which i consider the best for the WW2 theater. I have a TM Warthog and I had considerable difficulty too keybind the toggle switches extended to the neutral positions with vjoy, both in GB and in CoD. After two weeks of research on various forums and endless tests, I found a solution that i share as it could perhaps be of help to others. I read about macros or remap in Joystick Gremlin (before I used Joy2vjoy) not as toggles but as buttons, or with input lag, because the problem seemed to be the continuous input of the macro switches. I also tried to use HidHide because another hypothesis was that the IL2 was in conflict seeing multiple peripherals, but i did not solve the problem. This is because unlike other simulators, the problem is that IL2 records the commands when the input is released and NOT when it is only pressed. So, for toggle switches that work in all positions, it records a command on release, which is also the pressing of a further command, and closes the string on the next release: when trying to record one direction of the switch, it records both positions at the same time, and when trying to insert the other direction of the switch, it warns that the command already exists. For what I need, that is to have toggle switches working in all positions and not only with factory default activations: 1- I left the factory default axes and contact of the switches to the Warthog (Hotas TM Warthog device) 2- I assigned to Joystick Gremlin only the part of the switches not detected by default (Hotas vJoy1 device) 3- I programmed JoyToKey to associate some letters of the keyboard to vJoy. In Sims with input key by press i use Warthog and Joystick Gremlin. In those with press and release like IL2 and CoD i also launch JoyToKey and as input key i use Warthog and the letters of the keyboard. I attach the Joystick Gremlin and JoyToKey files for use as they are, or to expand to your needs. Activated Joystick Gremlin (Joypad symbol on the top left > green), in Tools > Input viewer (buttons+hats) it is shown the activation concept.
