Tobruk – North Africa Tank Crew Expansion

It would be great if we could have Tobruk/North Africa depicted in Great Battles as a new Tank Crew DLC.

 

Covering key battlefields: Tobruk, El Alamein, Halfaya Pass, and the Qattara Depression.

Sand dunes, oasis points, desert tracks, minefields, and coastal fortifications.

 

New Tanks Could Include;

• Axis tanks: Panzer III/IV, M13/40, Semovente.

• Allied tanks: Matilda II, Crusader, Valentine, Grant/Lee.

• New tank variants with tropical camouflage and desert-specific gear.

 

We already have so many quality tropical aircraft skins so it would be exciting and fun to be able to fly from bases on this map and also fight in tanks for and against the Afrika Korps. 

 

It would also save us the hassle of having to load a separate desert mod when we want to fly over a desert environment. We would no longer have to settle for a faux desert environment but could finally enjoy an authentic Libyan/Egyptian map. 

 

The North African theatre is sorely needed in the sim.

It was stated in Brief Room #3 that another Tank Crew installment would be most likely in the Korea engine.

Any new modules fully developed by 1CGS will be in the new engine.

 

That said, I don't see your wish granted unless they also make a flight-module for Africa, and I don't see that happening until after one or (probably) more Pacific modules.
