Some interesting information. Brilliant idea to have bridges in a repaired state. And I think I spotted something that hadn't been announced yet.

This just reinforces the developers as both scientists and historians (as well as artists). I feel very confident in the project, I hope it sells well.

It is nice to have so many of the community's questions answered, know what they are prioritising, and that they are aware of so many things!

The persistent damage is very sexy. It will help give a sense of time and continuity to missions.

The news about rice patties is honestly really disappointing. Definitely not a deal breaker by any means, hopefully they are able to make this happen.

The note about briefings has freaking pumped though. Legitimately one of the biggest problems with modern sims IMO. The briefings on in XWing/Tie fighter add so much

Rest easy Avi. It will sell very well. No doubt about it.

I noticed actual sunshine and a bright ground with good visibility and color this time, cheers me up nicely.  Feel that sunshine.

Even if there are no wet rice fields, I hope the devs will at least use appropriate textures that show the typical structure of such field systems.

Just flood the fields with the blood of your enemies.

That is a good point. They did mention how they are aware of changes due to mechanisation in Korean agriculture and that they are trying for something plausible for the 1950s. So it would seem like they are taking this into account as a potential issue - but it is a good point all the same!

I hope so. I am also curious how the wooded areas will look like. Apparently during Japanese colonial times deforestation was a big problem and during the 1950s there was still lots of scrubland.

And of course we will need damageable trees. The untouched trees in the screenshots of completely destroyed citys the devs have shown look rather strange.

Maybe they had directed energy weapons in the 50's ?

I don't know about you, but I don't want a Corsair's or Skyraider's energy directed at me.

The trees are damageable here: https://il2-korea.com/news/dd_30, but we don't know if the Map Q&A shots are from live gameplay. They could be staged where someone just set all the buildings as destroyed in the mission editor.
