Is there any key in the sim to deploy full flaps / retract them full? I find it annoying having to press for some 15 seconds nonstop the joystick button I have mapped for it, waiting for the flaps to fully deploy to 100%.

How exactly flap input works depends on the aircraft modelled, and IL2-GB attempts to model this as accurately as possible. For a Spitfire or a Yak, say, the real aircraft has a two-position switch, and thus IL-2GB requires a single button/keypress to operate. Others are multiposition in the real aircraft (e.g. P-51) and a button/keypress moves the flaps to the next position. Other aircraft have flaps that can be set at any position, and thus the button has to be held down until the desired position is reached. In some cases (e.g. Bf 109s) moving over the full range takes a long time, because it takes the same in real life. Complain to Willi Messerschmitt. 😉
