Years ago i got a (last opportunity) bought license for Photoshop CS6 64bit for i think around 95 U$D.

Still works fine, apart for that i am missing some drawing stuff like curved lines.

Tried Gimp 2 (and subscribed) a few times, but could not get around it to it after using PS

Now i want try out Gimp 3, but in general i read advice for other programs like sketchbook to help out for drawing only.

Any opinions and tips??

Importing a PS *.PSD file already put me off .. errors regarding fonts etc

the c47a public template looks like this in Gimp:

---------------

ADDED: Reading all sorts of info it seems impossible to use gimp for PSD format.

Seems IL2 forces one to use Photoshop? Like Photoshop Text layers wont be imported ...

I always use GIMP. Sometimes you open template and it looks distorted but you just have to close certain layers.
