Dutch2 Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Sometimes STEAM sales message or an STEAM game selection screen is blocking the game. How can I permanently delete this Steam thing, I never start any game within Steam dashboard, always directly from a desktop link, so I do not need it.
jollyjack Posted June 10 Posted June 10 You can permanently, but that's not allowed to post here on the forum. There must be a solution in Steam settings.
Dutch2 Posted June 11 Author Posted June 11 Sure there must be a solution but were is that specific setting. 😵💫
dryheat94 Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Use OpenComposite? I've never had the Steam screen display in game when using OC.
von_Tom Posted June 12 Posted June 12 It could be one of the buttons on your headset that sends you to it - that is true of the Index anyway. If you press it by accident when shifting the headset that could be the problem. Otherwise, alt-tab out and close it via taskbar or task manager. von Tom

Yes I know, also the mouse is always working. Only for measuring the adjustment effects, the fpsVR is still my favorite tool. Much better then XRframetools and other VR logging tools, I did try. I use Virtual Desktop, so when in OpenXR games I use the included Performance Monitor in it's place. Hopefully you find a good solution to your problem. Good luck!
