Chilli_40 Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I love my Pimax Crystal Light, but the G2 is a heck of a headset, sure happy to see it's return!! 1
spreckair Posted June 10 Posted June 10 See also https://www.roadtovr.com/unofficial-steamvr-windows-11-mixed-reality-driver/ for additional info. After buying the Pimax Crystal Light, I doubt that I will go back to the HP Reverb G2, but I am glad that these headsets will continue to have life. I can now give mine to my nephew. 2
puyo3 Posted August 3 Posted August 3 I have a Reverb as well, i saw mention of this pertaining to use with DCS, and wanted to see if it will work with Great Battles as well. I had thought to keep using Win 10 for a year or so, not wanting to purchase a new headset as yet due to limitations with my set up. I understand that the dirver works with Steam VR, so I thought it should then also work with GB based Steam VR as well. So when this comes available, I will go ahead and update to Win 11 and should be good to go, no Windows MIxed Reality needed, correct? That would work great for my situation.
Aapje Posted August 4 Posted August 4 There is no reason why this shouldn't work with IL-2. It indeed does not require WMR. Note that he posted an update yesterday that he is aiming for an August 29th release.
Aapje Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Is has been released: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3824490/Oasis_Driver_for_Windows_Mixed_Reality/ List of known issues/workarounds: https://github.com/mbucchia/Oasis-Driver-for-Windows-Mixed-Reality/wiki/Known-Issues First reports are very good performance, but also some issues getting it to work.

It "sees" my headset, but not my controllers. Of course with IL2 (and my racing games) I do not want or need controllers. But this is a show stopper for me.

slojani Posted Wednesday at 06:08 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:08 PM Hi, does anyone know if il2 BOS and open XR tool kit can work with Oassis driver. Thanks My Windows 11 updated to 24H2, HP reverb G2 was not working and I successfully installed the oassis driver and everything works fine. But I am missing all the settings provided by the openxr tool kit.

It's surely possible, it works just fine for me along with XRNeckSafer, which runs on the same principle as 3rd party OpenXR add-on. @mbucchia saying here it's possible https://github.com/mbucchia/Oasis-Driver-for-Windows-Mixed-Reality/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions#can-i-use-openxr-toolkit-with-it , it's just not recommended as OpenXR Toolkit is no longer officially in development. You need to use OpenComposite to enable 3rd party OpenXR add-ons https://github.com/mbucchia/Oasis-Driver-for-Windows-Mixed-Reality/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions#can-i-use-opencomposite-with-it

My system has built-in Bluetooth and I have several devices already working just fine. I was thinking my G2 might have died again since HP replaced it several times while it was under warranty, so I gave up and ordered a Pimax :-) Since then I took my reverb to a friends house who is not running Win11 and it worked just fine. So who knows? But I have moved on and will not look back. Is there a good place to sell used flight-gear? I'm thiking it should be worth $100, maybe not.
