@LF_Mark_Krieger if you have the time, pls try some aircraft with rear gunner. It's a shame they put such a youngster there with the gun, but my older son did his best. 😁😁😁

Ok. I'll try with some 110 too. Just now I've finished a couple more of missions with the IAR and my impression is that the acting is very good, but if I  have to be perfectionist the voice of the callsigns sound too clear and different compared with others words and sounds like the same pilot changes voices. Also the cuts between sound files are a bit too long and the phrases sound cutted and not too natural. Happens with other languages too and I imagine it's difficult to acheive.

unfortunately the game knows the original phrases and gives the appropriate original time for each as a preset. Being a different language, it's impossible to obtain the exact length for a specific phrase. If the new one is too long, it's gonna get cut. if it's too short, a bit of pause will be there. i've tried alot to meddle with that, but that was the best i could do so far.

could really use an answer to this......

Hi Andrei,

Thanks for the updated version.

I will try it soon.

One question: what about the soundengine.eng file that was released ca. 12. June?

Shall this file be used or not?

(I suppose it is not required because in it are only english subtitle messages)

Hi! Damn, I've tried to use it, as for the texts corresponding to the messages to have the same callsign. But it didn't work, dunno why.....

Marcost is the tech wizard-blizzard, but i was ashamed to ask him again for debugging.

Hi, I am not an expert with the subtitle texts in the soundengine files.

But because in your Mod the german speakers are replaced by the romanian sound files I would expect that you have to modify the german soundengine.ger file.

But for me most importent are the voice messages and these are working in general (new version currently not tested by me)

The full release is at least 2 weeks away.

I do hope this mod can persuade the devs to do a Romanian faction. If they can't officially use the voices, maybe just give it German voices as default and we can use the mod. Then we have both German and Romanian voices at the same time.

Hi,

The soundengine.eng file is the file to edit to change the text that is displayed if your game is set to English language.

The soundengine.ger file is used when the game is set to German language.

If you open the soundengine.rus file, the speech text is in cyrillic, which confirms the above I think.

Note that in soundengine.eng there are two areas that contain the callsigns:  // $MYID  and // $AMYID. They both need to be changed if you have changed the callsigns.

Sorry if this wasn't the question, haven't had time to check the above in detail!

Cheers,

M

Is this GSME ready?

I added to the latest download the "/data" folder and removed the not final (for audio not required) soundengine.eng.

Installation with JSGME worked for me.

But I recommend for this mod before the installation / deinstallation with JSGME to close all windows file explorers and to backup the original Radio/ger folder.

...ADDED LATER:

in general it works and I like it:

A happy conclusion is that after the latest update, the axis hurricanes can now have tactical codes that work very well for Romanian hurricanes. Thank you to the devs! 😁
