Hopefully it won’t be too controversial of a weapon to be in IL-2 Korea (which I don’t think by the way).

No145_Bunny Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Out of interest, will Napalm be featured in the game engine. I understand the controversy. It is an historical weapon and was used in Korea:- Napalm was extensively used by United Nations (primarily U.S.) forces during the Korean War (1950-1953) for close air support against North Korean and Chinese troops and to destroy targets, but it also caused civilian suffering and widespread destruction of North Korean cities. While the United States Air Force and Navy dropped large quantities of napalm, UN aviators used it most notably to support ground forces by knocking out tanks and other vehicles. The use of this devastating weapon was controversial S! Bunster Is this text produced by an LLM chatbot? They aren't reliable. Although in this case it seems correct. Yes, Napalm was used. It is an incendiary weapon - which makes it potentially devastating in urban areas. Extensive use of strategic bombing, and relatively free rules of engagement, were part of the Korean war. So, it isn't just the existence of the weapon - but how it (and other weapons) were used. There remains some controversy over the use of high explosive bombs and strafing during the war as well.
