CzechTexan Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Odessa Defense Download: https://www.mediafire.com/file/irqhx1yvmh39hap/ODESSA.zip/file You will takeoff from Stary Fontana airfield to destroy the enemy west of Dal'nik. On returning, make a landing at Stary Fontana to rearm, refuel, and repair so that you can takeoff on another sortie. This mission is somewhat historical as the axis were attacking toward Dal'nik in August 1941. 6 2
JUSTPLANECRAZY Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I was really enjoying that until i found out my rockets wouldn't fire, lovely map and a great mission plenty of action
Billsponge1972 Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Same here. I had to go into settings and select bomb and rocket mode before they'd let loose! Some other weird stuff, My second flight of three wouldn't take off, the lead aircraft engine was shut off. Also, I made it back to the airport but there was no RRR. Lots of fun though being the first mission on this map.
CzechTexan Posted June 2 Author Posted June 2 Remember to use RCtrl+A to Rearm & RCtrl+F to Refuel. The engine must be OFF. P.S. I had to delete the first mission, Odessa Hippodrome. The terrain smoothing did not save correctly. Still haven't figured out that. I can fly it OK but y'all can't. More fun for me! But this new one, Odessa Defense is the same mission except that you use a real airfield. 1
Billsponge1972 Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I was unclear where to taxi for takeoff. I will try again tonight. Thanks CzechTexan.

I was going to take a screenshot of the airfield for taxiing but I forgot. Here it is: The orange line is taxi and takeoff/landing. Supplies to rearm/refuel/repair are on north side; I think your plane must be within 50 meters. I just flew a mission where I landed and was doing RRR and then the A/I Chaika landed and taxied toward me. Cool to see that. The other plane, unfortunately, did not make it but he sacrificed by drawing away the enemy so I could survive. 1
Billsponge1972 Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Worked like a charm! Love the airfield in the middle of the city. What a beautiful map! Love this mission and love your work! 🙂
