QuaxDihedral Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Are there any moving map apps like Little NavMap or RemoteFlight in the FS series? They had them in 1918! (refer pic)
Aapje Posted May 29 Posted May 29 IL-2 GB could use a better mapping system in general, in particular for VR. 1
JGr2/J5_Baeumer Posted July 1 Posted July 1 (edited) There is an nav icon setting server ops have as an option for less experienced players. It becomes a crutch however, as pilots never learn how to really navigate with a map and translate that to what they see below them, so advanced "full real" servers don't use it. Knowing what side of the 'mud' you started on and whether you flew over it or not, is probably the simplest starting point. Zoom in on the kneeboard map in game. Rivers are very helpful, as are large cities. They often go together. Eventually you'll be matching forest shapes to the map (sometimes), to get out (or in) to a pickle. PS and yes, you can 'scroll' up/down on the map pretty much like the pilot in the picture would have. Edited July 1 by JGr2/J5_Baeumer
