JimC Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Hi Team, just wondered if you can have IL2 installed on C drive and D drive. I need to move IL2 from my C drive to my D drive for more hard drive space. Then I thought I would uninstall the original from the C drive after picking it apart, missions etc. Yes I'm being lazy. lol Any thoughts and or problems would be appreciated.
Hanu Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I've been creating junctions for such a cases: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/junction Just move the whole folder to drive you want and create junction (which is like logical link in linux for example) to original place that points to new location. Nowadays mklink seems to come within windows doing same stuff: 1
AndyJWest Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Assuming you aren't on Steam, you can just move the entire IL-2 GB folder, and then create a new shortcut to bin\game\launcher.exe.

Steam does this for you as well. Its between "backup game files", and the "verify integrity" buttons on the installed files menu under properties on the game page. Works like a charm. No issues over many games and many relocations. Just incase some people use STEAM and need to do this
