FuriousMeow Posted May 26 Posted May 26 (edited) Probably an old and known issue, I think I recall encountering it but never paid much attention. Anyway when firing a ton of 20mm, for example from a 190a5 with only wing root 20s no outer wing, when close to deck and close to impact area eventually most audio cuts out. After ceasing firing audio returns. I'm assuming audio channel overload from being close enough to hear the 20mm explosions at target site in addition to the engine/wind/cannon firing, although really shouldn't be able to hear the 20mm shell explosion from the cockpit but that's a different topic, but just wanted to verify. Its not all cannon equipped aircraft, just ones that send lots of rounds down range rapidly and with higher explosive content which makes me think audio channel over-saturation. 9800x3d cpu with 32gb ddr4 3600, 4080s, and SB Z sound card. Onboard and nvidia audio disabled. W10, latest drivers. Thanks! Edited May 26 by FuriousMeow
[CPT]Crunch Posted May 29 Posted May 29 It's normal, if I recall the sound engine is limited in the number of audio files it can play at any given moment, once you reach the max any surplus has to be dropped.

Thank you, was considering a reinstall but didn't get around to it. Saves me some time. Thanks again!
