Eds641 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 (edited) ive flown dozens of campaign missions in flying circus and the AI seems woefully inadequate, heres some of my findings -the enemy AI will rarely attempt to shoot at the player, ive seen them shoot at my wingmen just fine, but ive flown in formation with enemy nieuports and not once did they ever attempt to get behind me or shoot at me, just today i spent 20 minutes just flying shallow circles inside 2 formations of nieuports and i didnt get shot at or even pursued _once_. -the AI is bad at shooting down balloons. again today ive followed a wingman eindecker in a balloon attack mission, he shot at the balloon once and then procceeded to fly a rectangle around the balloon for the next 10 minutes. -sometimes ill get intercept missions, we'll fly to the interception point, ill see the enemy airplanes at like 10-5km away... and all of my wingmen will turn away and head back to base. -when dogfighting enemy AI they dont really seem to make an effort to stop me other than turning right or left nonstop, sometimes theyll attempt to fly straight and gain some distance but then theyll start doing weird S turns letting me get close again which seems odd. i should NOT be shooting down 5 nieuport 17s in a single flight on the eindecker. -i am 3 missions in on my eindecker campaign and i already have the pour le merite, all iron crosses and a bunch of other awards. the game doesnt feel challenging or worth playing in this state. -heres a video of the AI failing to shoot me down as i fly a shallow lefthand turn at like 80% throttle and heres a video of me shooting down a nieuport 17 and 2 S.E.5as (all set to ace) on a fokker E.III (which should be the worst fighter in the game by a longshot) Edited May 15 by Eds641 added link to video
giftgruen Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Good morning 🙂 .... there are already several topics in the forum regarding the AI in FC. Means: You are not the first one who detects that the AI is more or less useless.
