IRRE_LeLong Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Feature Suggestion: Allow Changing Audio Output Without Restarting the Game I'd like to be able to change the audio output device while IL-2 is running. Currently, if I realize after entering the cockpit that the game is using the wrong speaker or headset, I’m forced to completely restart the game to switch to the correct audio output. Problem: The game currently locks to the Windows default audio device at launch, and there’s no in-game way to change it afterward. Given how long IL-2 takes to start up these days, having to relaunch just to fix a sound output issue is particularly frustrating. This would be a great Quality of Life improvement—and frankly, it's more of an industry standard in modern games.
Aapje Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Perhaps this will be fixed for Korea. Don't expect anything for GB.
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 If I am in game and want to change from speaker/headset I go to the taskbar (alt-tab if necessary) and open Windows Speaker icon and change to the output I want, then go right back to the game in progress. No restart of game needed.
Aapje Posted May 15 Posted May 15 For me it never worked that way, if I forget to change the audio to the headset.
