Miura27 Posted April 27 Posted April 27 One of my emails got hacked and i have to move everything. Sadly, i cant do it with my Profile here as easy, as it should be. I already reached out twice to customer Support, but no reaction. The probably answer to the lost email.
AEthelraedUnraed Posted April 27 Posted April 27 (edited) I'm not associated with 1CGS in any way, but I worked at the IT desk of a major institution for many years so I can give you the perspective from the side of customer support, as well as some advice. Getting your e-mail address changed is hard, especially if you don't have access to your original address anymore. For obvious reasons, you need to prove that you are the real Miura27 and not some hacker who tries to get (or sell) a free game or, more likely, an account to perform more malicious actions with. If changing your e-mail address from within your profile was as easy as you think it "should be", it would be a huge security risk. By far the easiest way, and maybe even the only one, to prove that you're Miura27 is by confirming it through your e-mail address. If you don't have access to that, it gets really hard. At the IT desk I worked, we would require our users to physically show their passport (or other valid ID) in similar cases. Is there any particular reason you cannot recover your e-mail address anymore? Pretty much every mail hosting service would be very glad to get rid of malicious users like hackers. Have you tried contacting them? What do they say? If you haven't contacted your email host yet, that in itself would sound like a red flag to any IT guy. "Yeah I'm really Miura27 but I cannot prove it and I also haven't made any effort to be able to prove it but I do want you to change my login." Yeah, right. If you do have a really good reason why you cannot recover your old email address anymore, I would suggest to reach out to 1CGS support again and make it very explicit that you can't reach your current email anymore and why you're not able to recover it. Attach the conversation you had with the IT support of your email host to your emails to 1CGS support, to lend credability to your case. Depending on what information 1CGS has about you (e.g. bank details of previous purchases), there may be other ways to prove that you're you. Also give them some time; here in the Netherlands, the Easter holidays at school mean that pretty much everyone with children is taking the week off. Given that Easter is popular in Orthodox christianism as well, I wouldn't be surprised if something similar is the case in Russia and their support department is either closed for the week or severely understaffed. Miura27 Posted April 27 Author Posted April 27 Hey Buddy, thanks for you input. Greetings from Germany, also lived a stone throw from your border. I had 2 main Email Adresse. A proper one and a "junk email". Somehow i made my IL Account with the Jung Mail, which, don't ask me why: Got scammed? Also never attached my name/phone number to that one. Needless to say: I activated 2 way-mobile autentification on basically everything after that. Whit my il2 account: It's only Bodenplatte i own (mainly DCS) and i can still log in, as i have my Password. It's just that i cant "change email" like in most accounts. It's not a huge loss, especially after buying a RTX5070ti + quest 3. I contacted them twice or so a few weeks back.

Been there a few times, mostly good experiences. Nothing beats a proper Maß of Weißbier straight from the Bräuhaus! 7 hours ago, Miura27 said: I had 2 main Email Adresse. Always a good idea to use a junk mail address Are you sure you cannot get back access to it? As I said, most hosts like Google, Microsoft, whatever would probably be happy to help you. Either way, you're gonna have to wait for the 1CGS support team to handle your case. But the process to change your email address will most likely be much simpler if you can get back your access to your previous one. As I said, it doesn't hurt to mail them again and explicitly state that you don't have access to your email address anymore. That's something that easily gets overlooked at IT desks.
