Fantastic stuff guys! It would be a shame if none of this is actually usable. 😉

The only good AA gun is a destroyed AA gun!

Looking good!  Nice variety of targets!

Some of the hills seem to have improved with rocky areas that look more like Korea than the heavy forest areas.  The farm fields need some tweaking since they seem rather low rez.  Most important is the farms.  We need lots of farms with farm buildings and farmers tiling fields with chickens and cows.  Could also have missions to take out enemy cows and chickens protected with AAA!

Not when the AA gun is from your side!

Why is it always so dark on the landscape, like permanent twilight with no direct sun.  Sky looks OK, but it's going to be difficult to see this equipment when its so dark they can't even cast shadows.

Well said.  I could never get the lighting to look right in GB.  Cockpit yes, ground and map no.  Also the horizon seems way to bright.

Hope that changes.

Ahhh, the MGMC M16 "Meat Chopper"! It got a lot of use stopping human wave attacks and will be of great use for ground operations along with all our other driveable vehicles... 😉

It’s good to see that they are pouring time, money and resources into small details like artillery. Very good.

"following the long American tradition of giving the same designation to completely different military equipment"

I was literally thinking exactly this just before I got to this sentence 😂

I really hope, at a minimum, we can at least control various AA guns, as far as control of ground forces goes.

Unless I've missed something, there's no mention of controlling any ground forces...

"Anti-aircraft 12.7 mm machine guns were also installed on heavy armored vehicles — the IS-2 tank and the ISU-122 self-propelled gun."

Does this mean that there will be IS-2 and ISU-122?  Patton and Chaffey?

I don't think it means that strictly, but it would be nice to have those tanks playable.

I'd personally prefer improved artillery spotting (i.e. being able to radio a specific unit, and specify a specific number of rounds, and give corrections in steps of 10 yards or 100 yards)... I'd like to call in a few ranging rounds, get the wind corrections in, and then give a 'fire for effect'. If the artillery has limited ammo available it could make it much more dramatic as well!

I'll take a drivable staff car though! It'd be fun to race in.

As I recall one of the first sets of screenshots released with the debut of the Il-2 Korea website includes the IS-2
