Minimizing BoS main screen

Hi All, Is it possible to minimize the main screen with windows 10, the reason being is that is if I want to download and install third party skins or missions I have to keep restating the sim to see if they are correctly installed,

Yes, just alt-tab out of the game or press the Windows key. If that doesn't work, press Ctrl-Alt-Del and open Task Manager. This is just the general procedure to get out of any app

 

However this won't help you. IL2 keeps an internal list of all files, that it creates on startup. So if you add skins or missions, these will only show up after restarting the sim.

 

For skins, you can use the Viewer: [IL2 base directory]\bin\viewer\Viewer.exe. If you click "Refresh scene", it reloads everything.

I always press 2 times alt-tab to avoid that the radio menu appears. (but maybe this is not importent)

And it is good if you have already 1 or 2 further programs (e.g. explorer) open on the desktop.

If your IL2 resolution is smaller than your current desktop resolution don't use full screen for IL2 if you want to switch tasks.
