I've had a couple questions.  Some I think I have already experienced the answer, but I wanted comfirmation.

 

1.  If you change the Configuration settings after a campaign has started will it effect the next mission set-up, or are the settings fixed for that campaign from the start of the campaign?

 

2.  If you select an option in the Hangar Screen (weapons or engine mods) does it get applied to the other aircraft in the flight, or are changes to the flight only done in the mission set-up prior to saving the mission?  Are all the possible mods listed in the mission set-up in the drop down menues?

 

3.  Is there a glossery of the wording for the mods that you add in the Aircraft files.  Some I try work, others fail.

Config changes take effect on the next mission generated.

 

I think the Hangar changes (in game) only apply to your plane.  You can change your flight's settings in PWCG.

 

There is not a glossary.  This is from the code.  There is no ability to alter what the planes can carry through data.

Thanks Pat. That's exactly what I was looking for.

 

EDIT:  I'm trying to put in a standard modification for the MiG-3.  I see it has SHVAK_X2 but no UBS_X2.  Would UBS_X2 work?

I think you will need a code change to add a modification to an aircraft.  A config change alone won't do it.  If the MiG-3 in game actually supports UBS then, yes, it will work with a code change.

Yep, I already tried UBS_X2 AND BS_X2 and they didn't work.  The game uses BS for synchronized guns (nose mounted), BK for unsynchronized wing or pod guns, and BT for gunner flexible versions (Which is not quite correct.  Should be UBS, UBK, and UBT).

 

What you're saying is you would have to make a code change to add the modification for a BS mod to PWCGBoS.  Your list already includes the BK_GUNPOD mod and the SHVAK_X2 mod for the MiG-3.  It's missing the BS_X2 mod
