Jackfraser24 Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Hi, I just want to ask if speculating and suggesting future titles post Korea and Post Pacific are banned from now on. Are they? And I just want to apologise for all of these suggestions I have made recently, especially to you LukeFF. If it is banned, I’ll never do it again. If it isn’t I’ll still hold off until all the Pacific is done. Thank you.

MDzmitry Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Although it might be a terrible allegory, consider pissing moderators off similar to using WEP: you do it once, and then let it chill for 3x the duration. I don't think anyone's really after you personally, looking for a single misstep to send you to the shadow realm. Take a deep breathe in, hold it, breathe out and go on with your stuff. Mind moderators' remarks, but don't pressure it by constantly apologizing or asking questions unrelated to the topic at hand. 1
=621=Samikatz Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Korea isn't out yet, the modules after that (Pacific, etc) are already planned out, and I think at this point every bit of history where two airplanes loitered near each other menacingly has been suggested. Speculation can be fun but I doubt it's going to affect development and it's all a bit baseless 4
ST_Catchov Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Banned! The horror! Stop that thought immediately Jack. We all want your suggestions to continue without apology .... although I will leave the final decision to the wisdom and discretion of the moderators as one should in a civilised forum such as this one with rules and stuff. 1

Second, if you have an issue with moderation (or questions which can't be answered through the forum rules page) - contact the moderators through direct messages. Off topic posts may be removed or may be moved to an appropriate location (e.g. suggestions may be moved from threads discussing other subjects and placed in the suggestions subforum). 1

Honestly, you have a lot of enthusiasm and interest - so perhaps just funnel it? Maybe go into the library and request books on the Korean air war through interlibrary loan? Focus some of that curiosity into the modules which are closer at hand and maybe you can share with us some more knowledge about that history. 1
ST_Catchov Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Avimimus is right. Channel that enthusiasm for the greater good Jack. There is much to learn about the WW1 air war and your gained knowledge may be of help to 1C when they return to The Great War after they tire of Korea and stuff. 1

Yet only 7 hours after your post, you go back to the suggesting and speculating (and no, just because you say "I know it's not going to happen, and I am not suggesting anyone to do it" doesn't mean it's not suggesting and speculating - ever heard about Apophasis?) I agree with Avimimus; you're a very enthousiastic guy. Find some interesting tidbits about Korea and the many battles of that war that you can discuss. Or wait for some new information that you can speculate on. E.g. if LukeFF shares the information that the module after the first Pacific module will feature the P-40 (just to be clear, he hasn't), you can start your speculation threads again about if we'll get an "IL2 Series: China" or "IL2 Series: Pearl Harbour" module. Until there's any new information, whatever you suggest will get the exact same answer. The following flowchart may help you determining the usefulness of what you're about to post: 3 1
BladeMeister Posted April 21 Posted April 21 An awesome flow chart Sir, and quite applicable. S!Blade<><
AEthelraedUnraed Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Here's another one, that should suffice to answer the question for all modules for the foreseeable future.

The team has moved onto the new engine and have no plans coming back. Unless a team of people get together and decide to do some uncovered place like Sicily, Murmansk, Vistula-Order, Berlin or a WW1 map then major development of GBs is done. Finito.

Put all that time you spend theorising about new modules into learning how to edit maps, and that Vistula-Oder module will be there in no-time 2
