Enabled vr hmd keeps turning off

Il2 is by far my favorite flight sim and I have most of the DLC

Over the last six months I have been unable to use my Quest 3 because in graphics I check the box to enable the vr hmd but when it restarts it turns it off. I am very frustrated. Please help. Thank you

Check that your startup.cfg file in the game's data directory isn't set to read-only.

Thank you for your reply but I have tried that but it still keeps happening. Any other thoughts will be greatly appreciated

Well you can always skip the launcher and see if running il-2.exe directly puts you in VR mode after you've started a VR session once. If again it has been reset and doesn't start in VR mode then that means some program (likely an antivirus or similar) is tampering with your startup.cfg. If that is the case then one way to find out who the culprit is is to monitor startup.cfg with FileMon by Sysinternals.
