czech693 Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Flying a Spad XIII in PWCGFC, I can't remember if I fired a long burst as I usually don't. But, when I separated and re-cocked the guns they fired off uncontrollably unti they overheated and shut down. I extended to give them time to cool and on moving back in I re-cocked them again and again they fired off until they overheated and shut down. On the way back to base I tried to re-cock again thinking it's been several minutes, but the same thing happed until they rain out of ammo.
=IRFC=Gascan Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I don't think that's a thing in the game. Probably a game bug, possibly a problem with your joystick. If it happens again, try and get a track of it so you can submit a bug report and check your controller to make sure the button isn't stuck. Also worth double-checking your settings to see if there is another key assigned to fire the guns that might have accidentally have been pressed.
Jaegermeister Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Yeah, sounds like you have a stuck key or joystick trigger. Definitely test your control assignments.
1CGS LukeFF Posted April 19 1CGS Posted April 19 The accuracy of the guns will decrease if you fire too long a burst, but no, there are no cookoffs, just misfires (in other words, dud rounds). 1
