=LD=Bulldog* Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Hola! I have two of these beauties, one boxed and unused and my veteran stick. As of this evening, the latter stopped working: no green light and it is not registered. Try a fresh power cable and no joy. Plug in the new stick and it works perfectly. So, I used the old one again with its lead. If I hold the stick at a bizarre angle, it will work. If I should move my hand ever so slighty, the green power light is out. I suspect a loose or faulty connection inside the stick hub. Any ideas? Bulldog
ST_Catchov Posted April 15 Posted April 15 This is dreadful news Bulldog! My No. 7 button stopped working a while back. And, as you know the MSFFB2 don't have many buttons! I keep hitting it repeatedly like them pedestrian crossing buttons to force the little green walking man to appear. But nothing! I'm still grieving. It's like losing a family member, or worse, the family dog. I hope you find a solution. You could always try opening it up and having a fiddle. I was too scared to do that for fear of making it worse. Old fumble fingers you know.
=LD=Bulldog* Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 S! Yes, bad news and an electronic engineer of all things retro has been recommended to me. Will keep you in the loop. Bulldog
=LD=Bulldog* Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 From the engineer: Ahh, yes. It's got a 2 pin mains power socket on the side (a C7) and the internal power supply. It may just be something simple lie the socket has some dry solder joints then - or the socket is broken inside. Shouldn't be an issue 😊 Send her up (with the power cable) and I'll take a look. 1
