agbm9999 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Every time I generate a mission in PWCG, all the squadrons that participate have a mission over the exact same area as shown in the screenshot below. I thought that it was designed to spread the activity across a larger area of the map? (I have the mission box set to 90km) Please let me know if there are any settings I need to tweak, or if this is just normal! I have attached what I think are all the relevant settings too. Thanks!
Stonehouse Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Operation Market Garden perhaps or the preparation for it? PWCG includes important battles and sets up missions accordingly. You'd need to check the date for the mission against history but the patrol area is over Eindhoven which was one of the towns involved.
agbm9999 Posted April 11 Author Posted April 11 Thats interesting, I hadn’t considered that. The only thing is it happens when the mission area is elsewhere too like Arnhem and further afield, but that could be part of the campaign’s recreation of the operation I guess.

Spreading everything wider would result in one of two bad things: 1. If I don't use more flights then there will be no contact. 2. If I do use more flights the 1c code will be overwhelmed. 3. Addendum to 1: expanding the area, even without more flights, will result in too many ground units which will also overwhelm the game. In your case, I think you are getting the results that you are because PWCG keeps the flights that will be the closest to yours. When a mission is created, PWCG generates a flight for every active squadron on the map in the mission box. It then cycles through the flights and keeps the configured number based on proximity to the player's flight path. In the end, that will result in flights being concentrated because the further flung flights have been eliminated.
