Career Mode parity

It seems that whoever came up with the idea of setting changes has a different of the meaning of the word parity. Using this setting career mode opposition planes can outnumber ours by 3-1 or more. In this screenshot my flight is heading towards balloons. There's one enemy flight heading towards us, 2 around the balloons and a fourth further away. If the general accepted meaning of parity is equality this isn't it.
