1CGS LukeFF Posted April 2 1CGS Posted April 2 Hey comrades! Sasha Mironov is back in our latest Dev Brief video to discuss aircraft systems and damage modeling in Korea. IL-2 Series. You can watch the video here: 8 3 1
MajorMagee Posted April 2 Posted April 2 (edited) There's almost nowhere you can take a hit on the F-86 without knocking out a system. https://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/Visit/Museum-Exhibits/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/198071/north-american-f-86h-sabre/ Edited April 2 by MajorMagee 1
BlitzPig_EL Posted April 2 Posted April 2 I've seen that bird many times. It's mind boggling how crowded that fuselage is.
=MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted April 2 Posted April 2 It'd be pretty funny if things reverse in Korea and Mig players hate on their big HE cannons and covet AP 50 cals to damage the Sabre's systems.
Trooper117 Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Some good stuff in that video... however, what is this big brother/KGB hinting palaver that's now creeping into the scene?

Honestly, I was wondering if there was a secret announcement in that folder - but it just seems to be questions from the community. So, I think it is us... it represents us...
=MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted April 3 Posted April 3 He was too stylish to represent us, maybe if he had a fanny pack and a tucked in t-shirt. 2
LF_Mark_Krieger Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Wow... I had to change my pants twice looking at this video. I'm one of those players obsessed with instruments, switches, buttons and controls beeing as detailed and controlable possible by the player. I understand it can bee too much for other players, and I understand too that more detail means more time invested, but I really hope we can get a very complex management of the plane. Bravo! 🥲

Just turning too hard in it probably knocks out the ice machine and the cigar dispenser. 1
[CPT]Crunch Posted April 5 Posted April 5 How nice it'd be to not have the same old pre-canned flight modeling damages of yesteryear's sims. Like to see some new things like blown panels and pieces hanging causing flutter and shaking with excessive speed, even leading to further damages.
LuftManu Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Going to be really interesting and add a new layer of complexity! Great! 1

1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted April 8 Posted April 8 (edited) I wonder why is not a time for soft body physics in Korea and revelat damage model. Without it , all structural damage would break in predefined and animated places. What ppl want to see in game is something similar what can be seen in famous video showing 30mm cannon vs airframe .
