I just noticed that this was due to be released late in 2024. It's early 2025. Any word on how the development of this project is going? I'm probably going to pick this one up.

There isnt any indication of when it will arrive. TFS released a statement in December which alluded to a lot of things still being very much WIP. The interdependent VU/VR upgrade is also in a "progrressing well" but otherwise unknown state. 

 

I think you'll have lots of time to save up.

Further research netted me an answer. On the Stormbirds site. The devs said that they had every intention of releasing the game late in 2024. But "circumstances beyond our control" made that impossible. Mainly, the loss of important members of the team. So, who knows when or if this will now happen.
