Wuerger Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Hi, there, I'm coming from Il-2 1946 and simply am overwhelmed by the camera and pilot's view settings in Battle of Stalingrad (my first test game). I'm using TrackIR5. In Il-2 1946 I had a joystick button for FIXED wide angle cockpit view forward and FIXED normal cockpit view forward (so I could switch between them). I absolutely don't manage to set this in BoS. In Il-2 1946 I also had a button for FIXED camera view directly behind my plane looking forward, I also don't find this in BoS.😳 There is am manual, I know, UNFORTUNATELY it does not at all explain the camera and pilot view and imho these are not self-explanatory. So it is quite annoying to test a setting, save, leave the settings, go back to game, go back to settings and so on. Any help please? Thank you so much!!!
BOO Posted March 28 Posted March 28 (edited) Google IL2 Great battles Camera views - there a good few tutorial videos and posts abouts. Not as straght forward as 1946 but more flexible and really not to difficult to work out once someone shows you. My 3 defaults tended to be a zoomed to sight on one button (on the throttle) and over the shoulder looks on the L-R buttons of the 4 way hat I also have zoom set to onthe stick. The button presses override the TIR. Having the TIR sofware positition reset and the games "look forward" and "centre" bound to the same key also allowed quick corrections should any drift occur. Wuerger Posted March 28 Author Posted March 28 (edited) Thank you, BOO! To be honest I can't even manage to make a simple fixed wide angle view forward.😉 (Standard is normal view). Don't want to zoom in, but a simple fixed wide angle view). Anyone? Edited March 28 by Wuerger
69th_Panp Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Go to the pilot head tab in settings go to pilots head zoom in and set a button or hat switch for that one go to Pilots head zoom out and set button or the other side of the hat switch you should be able to zoom in and out after saving
