Wolfpack345 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I've been experiencing issues with the Nieuport 17 AI. Their wings wobble violently. I've attached the track and mission below, along with a video showcasing the issue France 1916 1916-09-15.2025-03-17_22-35-33_00.rar France 1916 1916-09-15.rar
ST_Catchov Posted March 18 Posted March 18 This is simply the AI replicating a nervous rookie pilot shaking with fear and underlines the amazing scope and diversity of 1C's AI.
czech693 Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (edited) I tried to duplicate in an mission set-up with AI but it didn't do that. I just had a problem with the AI in camels not wanting to take off. They became mobile, unarmored, machine gun nests off into the farm fields (or ran into the trees). I replaced the camel files from luascripts and swf and that behavior is gone. I can set-up a download for the Nieuport17 files if you want to try and replace them. Edited March 22 by czech693
ST_Catchov Posted March 23 Posted March 23 It does not appear to be a common problem as displayed by Wolfpack's vid. In fact, I have never seen such a thing. But I do see erratic elevator behaviour in level flight all the time. Not smooth movements like a human would do, except in moments of intense panic when all control flies out the window. I suspect it is the AI over-correcting/over-reacting to the Nth degree like a noob ... or a computer funnily enough.
czech693 Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I agree it looks like something funny with the AI. Save your data/luascripts/ai/ caeroplane_nieuport_17.txt file and use this one and see if it fixes the problem. caeroplane_nieuport_17.txt

I think I may have found part of the problem. The data/luascripts/ai/ folder is missing. I will look into it. May be time for a fresh install
czech693 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 (edited) Well, I think you have to unpack the .gtp files to get the ai folder. You can take that attachment I posted and create the ai folder. The path is data/LuaScripts/ai. You should already have the LuaScripts folder so just add a folder named ai in it. My previous comment about changing ai text file ended up not working. The problem was in the camel file in PWCGFC. So, my suggestion may not work for you. Edited March 24 by czech693 1
