How portable are current VR equipment setups?

 

Which is best,  if any from that point of view?

You can just carry the headset and controllers with you. Of course they can be fragile. In particular for the Quest there are a lot of third party cases, although a lot of them don't work with third party headstraps. But BoboVR has one that seems to be very good and that does work with third party headstraps: 

 

 

But of course for any headset you can come up with a way to bring it places safely.
