Sandmarken Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Hope you will enjoy it, the IAR80 is an interesting plane!
CzechTexan Posted March 12 Posted March 12 I expect more missions to be made when the new Odessa Module becomes available. We just have to be patient, and wait. 1 2
AndreiTomescu Posted March 17 Posted March 17 (edited) Truth to be told, I have a book describing the "push to Odessa" how they called it. That is, the fight done by the romanian army to liberate/occupy, depending on your view, Basarabia, all the way to Odessa. That's a good start for a historic accurate campaign. We also have @Sandmarken the only one to have done a campaign with the IAR so far, and i really hope this new map is going to light up his fire. So....hopes high for the IAR ! P.S. regarding the russian opposition, the IAR is a quite more "balanced" fighter versus the early red fighters. As fighter planes, the Ro aircorp used on the Bassarabian front Emils, as the tip of the spear, Hurricanes (the most loved) and alot of IAR's (as the nation pride and joy, but also as the most available type) Edited March 17 by AndreiTomescu 1
AndreiTomescu Posted March 17 Posted March 17 (edited) Regarding Sandmarken's IAR campaign, The little brother. I've played every mission many times during testing phase, and once more after completion. It's quite chalenging due to IAR's qualities (or lack of it) compared to late war opposition. The missions are very diverse, and wonderfully designed. The hole purpose of this campaign is to put you in the ...oxigen mask of a late war romanian pilot struggling to live and maybe be succesfull with an airframe of which the golden days are long gone. On the Odessa map, however, this situation I expect to be quite different, because....that was the golden age of the IAR. Be ready to have to forget the automatization of the german aircraft, and have to cope with all the levers in order to adjust the engine, cooling, propeller and so. of course you can ask the game to do that for you.....
