Some good news related to the latest decisions:

- HLeLv 28 (Bf 109 G-2) will be a playable unit

- Einsatzkommando Helsinki (1./JG 302) (Bf 109 G-6/G-6 Late) will also be a playable unit (although we are not discussing German units in this thread) 🙂

I cannot find a definitive date, but it safe to assume that the date was 3rd of May 1942 like LW_Pilot mentioned earlier. During april they are LLv's, during May they are LeLv's. In some notes at 2nd of May the are mentions of of LeLv 48 for example, but the regional re-organizational change in FAF itself happened 3.5.1942, so it is a quite safe bet.

-------- You did not ask but... ------------

The second naming change happened 14.2.1944. Then they were renamed from generic "Lentolaivue" to their actual role and the new abbreviations was applied

Fighter Squadrions (Hävittäjälentolaivue):
LeLv -> HLeLv
Bomber Squadrons (Pommituslentolaivue)
LeLv -> PLeLv
Recon Squadrons (Tiedustelulentolaivue)
LeLv -> TLeLv

Thank you, we found this information without any problems and Luke is already finishing writing the stories of the Finnish units.

At this point we've finished the Finnish units (later we'll need their emblems), the stories are written, the current list of squadrons is given below.

I'd like to thank again everyone who helped us with information, this saved us a lot of time when we're working on 4 careers for the Eastern Front at the same time.

1941-42 career:

LLv 6 (LeLv 6) (I-153) - playable unit

LLv 30 (LeLv 30) (Hurricane Mk.II) - playable unit

1944 career:

LeLv 24 (HLeLv 24) (Bf 109 G-2, G-6, G-6 Late, G-6/AS) - playable unit

LeLv 28 (HLeLv 28) (Bf 109 G-2) - playable unit

LeLv 30 (HLeLv 30) (I-153, Bf 109 G-2, G-6, G-6 Late) - playable unit

LeLv 34 (HLeLv 34) (Bf 109 G-2, G-6, G-6 Late) - playable unit

LeLv 44 (PLeLv 44) (Ju 88 A-4) - playable unit

LeLv 48 (PLeLv 48) (Pe-2) - AI unit

For lack of a better place to ask, I am reading Juutilainen's Double Fighter Knight, and there are a number of mentions of Soviet observation balloons used in WWI style. Any prospect of reskinning the WWI model to have them appear as occasional mission targets?
