British troops in Operation Mars

In all of the missions in the Operation Mars mission pack, British infantry aare depicted fighting in Russia.  Can these be replaced by Russian infantry?

There are no Soviet infantry models, only US and British ones, which is why they are sometimes used as stand-ins.
