TheSNAFU Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Looking for some help. I picked up a quest 3 as a possible replacement for my Reverb G2. it seems to run well at 72hz but when I changed it in the device settings to 80 and 90 it says it’s at those hz but when I go into the game it stuck at 72 fps/hz. I just updated my system to a 14600 so surely it would run at 80 or 90 hz. I checked the link cable and it’s getting 2.4 so it isn’t the cable. After repairing the Oculus software it didn’t fix this. Before I send this thing packing I am hoping someone can direct me on how to fix this issue so I can fairly assess the headset. Thanks!
TheSNAFU Posted March 5 Author Posted March 5 (edited) Well sometimes it’s best to solve one’s own issues lol. So for anyone suffering the mind numbing problem I had, the fix I found is to go into the quest 3 pc app, settings, beta and turn on the Public Test Channel. Once the app and headset are restarted you should be able to set the hz to anything the headset supports. 90 hz is sweet in this thing. Much better performance and end to end visuals than my reverb g2 which thanks to microsux will be a paperweight as soon as the 24 update sneaks in. Edited March 5 by TheSNAFU
