sammydee Posted February 27 Posted February 27 As the title says. Both will take off when set On Runway but neither of them will taxi on any map. I've tried setting the Park position in front, behind, alongside, nearer and farther away but no go. I can go back into the Editor, into the map they were placed on and merely swap the plane model to any other aircraft and away they go. Not a huge problem but I'm really curious because I've never seen this problem before in years of playing BoS.
=IRFC=Gascan Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Do you mean that you cannot taxi in those two planes, or that the AI won't taxi in those planes?
czech693 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 (edited) I assume this is the AI as you can taxi the planes into town if you wanted. I just tried both and they both seem slow to get it rolling after they sit there with higher rpm's. But, they both did start rolling and moved to a location down field, at what I'm guessing is what would be the flight lead's position for a flight take-off. After a brief pause there, they then accelerated and took off. I tried the SE5a and it starts rolling quicker, but still taxis downfield and pauses. Is this happening in QMB, Career, or PWCG? What airfield? Edited February 28 by czech693

Thanks for your reply. 7 hours ago, czech693 said: I assume this is the AI as you can taxi the planes into town if you wanted. =IRFC=Gascan Posted February 28 Posted February 28 A single mission you made? I am not very familiar with the mission editor, but is there any chance you didn't correctly set the AI to take off and fly a route?

czech693 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Okay. I tried Bruay using EMG to set up the mission. First was from parked. It didn't start the first time in auto, but I turned it off and back on and it finally started. It taxied out for a long way, stopped and sat there for a long while before throttling up and taking off. From a runway start it sat there at 50% power for a while then finally powered up and took off. I then did the camel at another field's runway and it took off pretty quick. I think it's some messed up taxi vs runway positions, which I think is also the problem at Vivaise on the German side NW of Laon. I think a taxi waypoint is too close to a runway start way point and depending on the size of the plane, it overlaps and triggers two actions and the AI doesn't know what to do.

Yes it was set up ok and any other aircraft was fine with it. 41 minutes ago, czech693 said: Okay. I tried Bruay using EMG to set up the mission. First was from parked.
