cripplehawk Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Spoiler NOTE: The following mission is from the scripted campaign "Platzschutzstaffel Pitomnik Campaign (Bf-109 G-2)" January 15, 1943. The Massive Red Army is now in artillery range. Adolf Fegelein now mentally and physically exhausted, goes for his final mission in Pitomnik. Later that day Adolf Fegelein received an order he loathes from Hauptmann Rudolf Germeroth..He is to depart Pitomnik that late afternoon after his morning mission. Sadly 66 men of the Platzschutzstaffel Pitomnik will never see home again after being left behind.... It was on the night of January 15th 1943 Pitomnik came under heavy artillery fire. All able men evacuated on foot or vehicle to Gumrak Some BF109 of Platzschutzstaffel Pitomnik left for Gumrak. Most of them crash landed. Pitomnik fell on January 17, 1943.
