Hi,

In this post I will publish from time to time Demo Videos of makeshift solutions for:

-Single Player Missions

-Radio Communication with AI

-Simulation of Radar (only for daylight missions)

-Radio Navigation with selectable beacons

 

-I don't expect, that my suggestion will be implemented directly into Great Battles, but want to show what is already possible in general.

-all shown modifications will be published when completed.

-all shown modifications are designed for quick and easy installation in missions.

-the main purpose is to improve mission design in respect of semi historical communication with subtitles = equivalent to historical communication by voice.

-Demo Video 1: 12.02.2025, Radar System shown in short low level intercept mission

-Demo Video 2: 14.02.2025 Radio Navigation with selection of 3 semi historical beacons (Funkfeuer)

Demo Video 1

(small note to the shown airfield Merzhausen: I am living in ca. 30km distance in the Rhein Main Area)

-Radar System with selectable frequencies for individual Radar Zones 

-Display of approx. heading to targets in AFN-2 (makeshift solution to avoid HUD and moving icons, similar systems for comm. without voice were in small number available in Germany)

-simple display of altitude of targets (tief = low, hoch = high) 

-Not shown due to early emergency landing: selectable beacons for radio navigation. 

-Selectable Radar Zones to reduce impact on computer performance 

Further Mod: -Warnings by wingmen during combat (only distance to target)
