Is there any easy fix for bugged campaign missions?

So far I noticed in the Cliffs of Dover campaign and Alder Angriff some of the missions are broken due to your squadron not flying where they are supposed to go to intercept bombers/timed events. Is there an easy way to fix this? In Great Battles you can resave batches of missions in the mission editor and it usually fixes things, was wondering if there is a similar fix with CLOD.

Yes. Write: (1) name of campaign, (2) name of mission, (3) description what exactly went wrong, (4) what did you do in the mission and (5) attach track record of mission. That should help developers get idea what exactly they have to fix.

 

 

Issue/bug reports like: "fix campaign missions", "fix bombsight in aircraft xxx", "fix aircraft xxx". Developer usually read as: "Ok, maybe there is something wrong, may be not. But due to I have no idea what exactly to look for, I'll come back to it later, after: (a) I solve things I know how to replicate(find and observe) and how to solve. (b) Then I'll try to solve issues I know how to replicate(find and observe) but have no idea how to solve, but have to find solution. (c) Then I'll implement simple feature request I know how to do fast. (d) Then I'll do long awaited feature request but those that are not so simple to do. Finally when no know bugs and feature requests left at all maybe I'll go try to get idea what that dude moaning about".

Ok, I'll definitely try to document them as it happens. In the meantime, do you know if it's possible to open the campaign missions using the mission editor?

I cannot find the file location for the campaigns.

Yes, it's easy to locate. Though could be a little complicated to open in FMB.

Open your game installation folder (usually in steam library) and navigate in to "parts" folder

My is there "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\parts"

There you'll see two or three folders (depends if you have Desert Wings Tobruk - DWT addon). You interested only in "bob" and "tobruk"

BLITZ campaigns will be inside "...\parts\bob\mission\campaign"

Tobruk campaigns will be inside "...\parts\tobruk\mission\campaign"

I suggest to copy whole campaign folder to your Cliffs documents folder in to single player missions folder. For me it is:

"C:\Users\Rostic\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\missions\Single"

After that you can open campaign mission files in FMB.
