czech693 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Just had this issue today. The MiG-3, LaaG-3, and La-5 all shutdown as soon as I come out of Pause on a runway start position. A check of the engine controls shows the mixture is in the shut-off position. The Yak-1 and Yak-9 don't have this problem. Their mixture is in the run position. Always before the aircraft has it's engine controls in the correct take-off posiitons, even if your hardware controllers are not in position.
czech693 Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Okay, I moved my controller levers back and forth several times before un-pausing and the MiG-3 and LaaG-3 stayed running although I left the controls at full setting and in the sim they were only at about 1/2 way. Tried several other aircraft and the ones with a manual mixture control were affected. The German WW2 and WW1 were not affected.
czech693 Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 I swapped out a controller and re-assigned the mixture and prop. Still does the same thing. Yak runway starts are normal. Guess I'm the only one having this issue.
czech693 Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 Well, it turns out it was the controller. Even though it gave me some positive results, and other controllers gave me negitive results, when I tested it on USB Game Controller it was jittery, which means it's spiking. It's and old faithful CH Products Throttle Quadrant that has worked since the '90's, but it uses pots so it's toast now.
