blitze Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Very nice and a question coming to my mind, when can we pre-order? Very much looking forward to this and future developments in the Il2 universe.

We need to be sure in release date and to be sure what it will contain. Unsupported promises - is not our way to go. So later this year I'm think. 5 3 1
KPnutskgwanchos Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Amazing details guys, deffinately next level 👏.... Have to add though that the deformed tyres don't look right at all to me, wip?

MrsVonSturm Posted January 31 Posted January 31 (edited) Here you can see the difference with the "old" Li-2. Aside from that, you guys make the most beautiful planes in the whole cyberspace, it's just perfectionism 😁 Edited January 31 by MrsVonSturm

Hi Han, there are tons of ppl like me, who buy ervery module of the BoX series just to help your business and keep our beloved Air Combat genre alive and kickin. I would like to pay upfront for Korea and all new modules, while i would like to have a more multithreded MP server module! The whole series is great, but as me, tons of players like to fly combat box these days, but on the weekends and nowadays also during the week the player limit of 84 is just too low. It would be cool to see an ongoing development for the dserver in Korea? Is there something planned? and btw. take my money! Snappy Salute dhyran 1 1
Avimimus Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I agree. Han is right that the best practice is transparency and waiting until you can give people all of the information. But it is frustrating for those of us who'd like to write you guys a blank cheque!

=MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted January 31 Posted January 31 How much GPU/CPU resources does stuff like this eat, and will there be an option to toggle the little details like this and others to a simple option to save resources if we would rather prioritize performance?

Other devs are not so fortunate. The "best" way isnt always an option. Edited January 31 by BOO

Other devs are not so fortunate. The "best" way isnt always an option. First: I'm "theirs" to the team, but the team is not "mine" - I'm the part of the team, not it's owner. Project developed by the team. Team members are not the slaves or the coal-heaviers or the "just screws in a big machine". It is the team and the every team member who develop our product for you. Every team member attitude and entusiasm makes the final look of the sim. I'm just a part of them. Second: 50-man team is a bare minimum to do what we do. In terms of other teams - its even less than the required minimum,we got to work hard every day, sometimes much more than 8 hours in five days - because the team, every its members wants to create the common result which will be a state of art. This how the markable things to be done. I'm just very proud to be a part of it. 1

Preorders for "Siege and Liberation" and "Korea" are in our minds. Offcourse preorder should contain some kind of benefit for ones who take it. Details are upcoming this year offcourse. DServer - at least one or two small features, previously developed for "Marshall", may come alive in Korea. At least - we want to implement players on-map notes. Would be great to have them in GB, but in GB these features can't be separated from whole "Marshall" development branch which can't be completed, unfortunatelly. May be some other things too. BTW - what couple of additions you want to see there the most?

[CPT]Crunch Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) The smarter thing is learn exactly what the Combat Box guys are doing and how, also what their player base likes about it, and what they would both like to see added or corrected in the game to improve it. Lets face it, this games online play is a dud, with them being the exception, so why is that? Edited February 2 by [CPT]Crunch
PhilthySpud Posted February 3 Posted February 3 First, I want to say that I am in awe of the work produced by the modellers of this game - and it's been constantly getting better as time goes by. However, since the subject has been raised, when I first saw them I too thought the tyres on the new C-47B/Li 2 models looked a bit odd. There's something not quite right about the deformation of the tyre at the bottom, I think, that gives the overall tyre an 'ovoid' appearance. Maybe it's an optical illusion caused by the tyre/ground interface. I've attached a couple of reference images of C-47 tyres. It should be noted that they are of an empty aircraft. For good measure, I've also attached a couple of images of Mustang tyres. Once again, this is a basic aircraft - i.e. no external stores and not fully fuelled. I hope these are of use.
