Blitzen Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I am unfamiliar with Discard ( I have heard of it...) What are the benefits of being a part of discussions there?
354thFG_Leifr Posted February 12 Posted February 12 There isn't any really, other than an instant return. Whilst there is a search function, it isn't the most robust and discussions often end up buried and lost to the sands of time.

You can get our attention quicker. I've been checking these forums and the ATAG forums less after the Discord server opened up. 1

I am also new to Discord and find things a little cluttered I think it fair to say and chaotic but that could just be me and an age thing as I never took to Facebook or any of those other platforms. Now that said, as part of a team I find it excellent for small group meetings in which there were only two or three of us on voice and sometimes video as well if need be, so it is certainly worth setting it up for sure just for that as it gives those of you participating in a meeting that privacy but try and get used to the time zones. One thing I dislike is getting notifications supposedly intended for me that turn out to be just general conversations in the relevant forum, again, that might just be the dinosaur in me. Take care and be safe. Wishing you all the very best, Pete. 1
