I have DK2 and it's sadly collecting dust. I think I might get a steering wheel to play Live For Speed.

I have some problems playing DCS on my PC , it crashes all the time , with or without Oculus.

Elite is fun , but I really enjoy flying with my mates , and they all play BoS.

So until we get Rift support in BoS I won't be using my Rift that often. I am keeping it only in hope for RoF , BoS and IM support.

I'll get it for simming, but maybe not the first consumer version. I'll wait until it's a little more high res or my 3 screens crap out.

But I am excited for the future. The OR is only going to get lighter, faster, higher res, lower latency. Good things for simming is ahead :)

Looks promising, but last time I used it, it was low res, and laggy. Not good enough yet for me, but may have improved since the last time I tried it.

I've just read an article that the constant staring at screens close to your nose will detoriate your vision and you'll become short sighted. The computer is 40-50cm away, the oculus rift will be much less. Combine this to the increasing time we spend on staring at smartphone screens ...

I believe what this is talking about is people holding phones close to your eyes. The Oculus has lenses you look through, your eyes area actually focused at infinity if you have the IPD distance set up correctly.

I'm pretty mixed about it still. Ofcourse it surely packs an interesting and totally unique expirience (and hell nobody can deny that) but due to mentioned concerns above and the fact it's still rather early in development makes me wonder.

That would be pretty fatal to me (already pretty short visioned) and one of my major concerns. ALso the sickness some people get from it is another point. YOu don't want to fly 15min sorties only to realise you have to put it off again due to sickness rising.

So will I get the Occulus one day?

Was the question who will use it or who wants to use it? Not sure if they have the same answer.
