Edit waypoints and assign planes and pilots even if you aren't squadron commander?

Honestly, options to allow those things would add a lot to the career for me. Currently, there's just one option that toggles all three ("Start as squadron commander"), and I always feel compelled to pick it even though I really enjoy starting as a regular flight officer and working up through the ranks, because the ability to skip missions (via unassigning yourself) or edit mission waypoints (helpful for air starts on really long missions) are quality of life features that make career mode a lot better. It would be cool if those three things (start as squadron commander, edit missions, assign pilots and planes) were three separate campaign options, allowing you to choose selectively which ones you want to use.
