Hi all, bit of an aside here. (Sorry if this is a bit off topic but hopefully of interest ! ) (Admins, please move or delete if inappropriate.)

Just in case you're interested, Fokker Team Schorndorf, lead by Achim Engels, make replicas of WW1 German aircraft. I've been following them for some time on Facebook  and the work they do is incredible. If you want a very good understanding of how aircraft at the time were constructed, this is the place to find it.

They've recently been building a Fokker D8, and a chat with Achim revealed it was going to take 4,500 hours to build.
