Gunsight blocks directional gyro

The gun sight blocks the directional gyro. I am using head tracking so I have lower my head very awkwardly to read the gyro. Is there a way to lift the gun sight or make part of it invisible? Its an Il2 1942. Thanks

Did you try to move your head fully backward? It works for me (I don´t use headtracking). Otherwise, to change a gunsight position it´s R Alt+F, but it only slides forward and backward on this plane.

If you translate in X you should be able to see it

It isn't much better in VR, and I imagine it wasn't in real life either. Just look at it as one of those little quirks that makes each plane unique

Pressing Page up and Page down moves the pilot head's height position.

I use Alt-F2 a lot, edited for an above the cockpit view.
