JG4_Moltke1871 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I see on the left side close to the throttle a switch to change the supercharger gear from auto to manual, in manual mode it should stay on the lower gear. When I equip 150 octane fuel by the description I have to set the supercharger gears manually. I can set each engine separately to switch the supercharger gears but I can see only one switch…. Is this correct? Do I oversee a switch anywhere or is it maybe a little mistake can switch each engine separately? 🤔 Also have this information in the manual: Recommended mixture control lever positions for various flight modes: auto mixture control So far I didn’t find a keybind to switch the mixture automatic/manual… Also there, do I oversee something or is the description in the manual maybe incorrect? Thanks in advance for Help
56RAF_Stickz Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 hi moltke there is only a single supercharger lever - cannot control the engines individually - so if your setup enables you to do so I would guess thats a bug (I do not have enough controls to try individual controls to compare). It "ought" to ignore the individual commands and only work for a combined control but that would mean you need 3 controls setup which is a bit of a waste or use an individual profile for my beloved mossie. For mixture description I believe you are seeing something of a translation to English failing. Its meaning mixture settings is all done automatically. If I got it right lean mixture is set by low boost setting (<7lbs) and minimum rpm to maintain 7lbs. 1

Thanks a lot to answer my questions🙂👍🏻 - yes, it’s possible to set both superchargers for each engine, looks like it’s a mistake… however I will simply use that keybind what works for both engines. btw, I use different profiles for most of the planes in the game, it’s a bit complicated but brings a more individual feeling for each😉 Have a lot of fun in life with your wooden wonder 😉👰♀️

So, this is somewhat off topic but it reminds me to report a bug that is very similar but works the opposite as this does; The P-38, even if you select just one engine, and select manual water OR oil radiators, the switches for BOTH engines turn to manual mode. Based on the switches that move in the cockpit, it should be possible to adjust these for each individual engine and not forced to control both engines equally. 1
