  1. 1. Why you are still not in IL-2 Virtual Reality? (poll Jan-2020)

    • Money: The VR device (like Quest3 at 499$) is still expensive for me
      4
    • Money: My PC would require an expensive upgrade (GPU, HOTAS,...)
      2
    • I tested IL-2 VR but it didn´t convince me the VR experience (whatever reason), so I continue with monitor

    • I will wait for now, perhaps one day I will try
      6
    • Definetely I will never be in VR (physical limitation, want to see controls, etc
      11
    • I already spend most of my IL-2 time in VR

Back on Topic:

1.) No idea which headset to actually buy - so many conflicting reports about the pros and cons of every set.. but I honestly have no idea which one is great for Il-2 without costing a fortune

I think that this is a pretty strange remark, since there are just two headsets that really make sense (Quest 3 and Crystal Light). And I see huge agreement about the pros and cons of both, and not at all a huge disagreement.

Would be a nightmare for me...as often as my wife walks in with another story while I'm working/creating missions, test flying etc.

Mine saved my sanity many times that way ...

With the little nubs on the F and J keys, and the 5 key on the number pad, I don't feel that I'm hindered as I just feel for those and I know where my hands are.

Combined with the fact that I intentionally get only full-size keyboards that have separation between the arrow keys and everything else, and also the number pad on the right side. The nubs are there for this reason.

I also use a small square of Velcro, one furry side, one hook side on some key keys (!) to make it easier for fingers to find certain keys

So you're not into VR gloves? Wonder if that helps anyway ..
