Thomas_1945 Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Hi all, Is this correct ??? Based on available information, there is no evidence to suggest that Jagdstaffel 19 (Jasta 19) suspended its air operations between December 23, 1916, and June 30, 1917. The squadron was established on October 25, 1916, and began combat patrols in December 1916. Its first recorded aerial victory occurred on April 6, 1917. During this period, Jasta 19 underwent several relocations: December 4, 1916: Moved to the 1st Armee Sector. December 11, 1916: Transferred to the Armee-Abteilung A Sector. March 19, 1917: Assigned to the 7th Armee. June 30, 1917: Returned to support the 1st Armee. These movements indicate that Jasta 19 remained active during the specified timeframe. The only documented suspension of its operations occurred on May 26, 1918, when the squadron was temporarily grounded due to a lack of operational aircraft. Therefore, it is unlikely that Jasta 19 suspended its air operations between December 23, 1916, and June 30, 1917. Thanks Tom
