Extreme 3D pro joystick

Can’t figure out how to get the joystick recognized or working in iL1946 ( Forgotten Battles). I click “ Setup” button, then “Input”; on that screen under “Joystick Axes” there’s a window that says “none” across from that is dropdown with “Joystick1 thru 4”.

I read on another forum (maybe Steam) to select Hotas Control at bottom right of this screen.

the next screen starts with AIRCRAFT CONTROLS on the left column. This person on that forum said just click on the right column opposite the specific control then move the joystick in specified direction (elevator up) e.g., Well when I click it, it registers as a left or right mouse click. Doesn’t go blank so I can’t register the joystick movement there.

Frustrating to say the least. Can’t find any directions anywhere that outline the procedure or steps necessary.

I use the same stick. Works well.

Does it show up in Windows>Joysticks/Controllers?

flypen, thanks for the advice. Yes, I got it working and I apologize for not responding sooner but for some reason I stumbled upon my notifcations while on the forum for another topic.
